Jennifer Winter

Co-Founder & Managing Partner

Jennifer brings over 20 years of business operations, including 10+ years leading large-scale transportation groups that managed over 65 commodities across all major railroads. As Director of Portfolio Operations & Fleet Management at KBX Logistics, she successfully oversaw a fleet of 16,000+ owned and leased railcars of all types, from tank and freight cars to locomotives.

Her focus on logistics services, strategic asset lifecycle planning, vendor management, and regulatory compliance (AAR, FRA, DOT) resulted in millions in cost savings, improved fleet utilization, and elevated customer value. Jennifer’s unique combination of a shipper and owner mindset allows her to design solutions that benefit the entire rail supply chain.

Kevin Nichols

Co-Founder & Managing Partner

Kevin’s background spans nearly two decades in rail signal engineering and infrastructure. From 2006–2018, he served as a Union Pacific Signalman, performing regulated functions under 49 CFR Part 40 and DOT standards while installing PTC systems and troubleshooting critical signal networks.

From 2018–2024, as a Field Signal Engineer, Kevin led projects for UTA commuter rail expansions and managed signal compliance programs. Today, as Director of Signal Construction and Development at MoRail, he drives large-scale infrastructure initiatives including fiber conduit installations, backup generator deployments to minimize hurricane-related downtime, and sustainable battery disposal programs.

Kevin’s hands-on expertise in signal construction and compliance makes him an invaluable partner for clients seeking to modernize and safeguard their rail infrastructure.
